Pulse Tribute Tour
Friday, October 6, 2017 8:30 pm - 11:30 pm
Location: Tower Square
Description: The Lincoln LGBTQIA community organizations, businesses and churches would like to officially announce: Pulse Tribute Tour.
We are honored to collectively pay tribute to those fallen on June 12, 2016, with James Nocito's exhibit, "Orlando: 49 Farolitos." The luminaries will be displayed throughout the weekend and into the next week, but on Friday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m., we will all meet and pay tribute together--as one.
At 6 p.m., Mayor Chris Beutler, Public Safety Director Tom Casady, City Council Member Bennie Shobe and Rev. Karla Cooper will speak to the community at Tower Square. Following their remarks, each organization will present portraits of those whose lives were lost as a display and tribute to those whose spirits reverberate through us all.
The display times for each location following the opening ceremony are as follows:
The Alley: Friday, Oct. 6, 8:30 p.m. - 12 a.m.
PANIC: Saturday, Oct. 7, 1-4 p.m.
Vine Congregational: Sunday, Oct. 8, 9-11 a.m.
First Plymouth: Sunday, Oct. 8, 12-1:30 p.m.
FALL FOR PRIDE: Sunday, Oct. 8, 2-5 p.m.
UNL Nebraska Union: Monday, Oct. 9, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Unitarian Church of Lincoln: Sunday, Oct. 12-15
