Volunteer at the Pride Festival

Here are the hours Volunteers are needed during the Pride Festival:

  • Friday, June 1st:  4pm till Midnight
  • Saturday, June 2nd:  2pm till Midnight

Below you will find a list of several Volunteer opportunities that are available during the Festival followed by their description. If you find one of these of interest, please complete the volunteer form.

  • Stage Set-up / Tear-down

    Includes setting up and tearing down of the main stage.

  • Beer Garden Set-up / Tear-down

    Includes moving tables and chairs into place, setting up flags and/or umbrellas and laying table cloths on tables in the festival area.

  • Vendor Tent Set-up / Tear-down

    Includes placing 50 pound bags of sand on posts for the vendor booth tents, setting up easy up tents. We will also place tables/chairs in booths and set up the tables and chairs in the open seating area.

  • Star City Pride Booth

    Includes selling SCP paraphernalia and be available to help answer questions and direct people as needed.

  • Stage Help

    Includes loading equipment on and off the stage and help carry band equipment down four steps from the stage to the ground.

  • Performer Check-in / Runner

    Includes checking in performers as they arrive, testing their music to ensure it plays and deliver music to sound technicians. Keep performers informed of time (if we are running early or late) and ensure they are at the stage and ready to go when needed.

  • Spotlight Operator

    Includes taking turns using the spot light during the evening performances. This job requires sober individuals able to stand for an hour at a time and ensure the spot light remains focused on performers.

  • Kidz Zone Helper

    Includes assisting with the running of activities in the kids zone on Saturday.

  • Recycling / Trash Patrol

    Includes clean up of trash left on the ground or on tables, removing full trash bags and replacing them in the containers as needed during the event. Gloves will be provided to all volunteers doing this job.

  • Morning Clean-up

    Includes going through the parking lots and walking the streets used for the event and near the event to clean up any trash that has been left behind by attendees the previous day. This is completed both Saturday and Sunday morning.
