Yoooo if you share a passion for skating and a passion for peacefully standing up to America’s injustices this event is for you.
For far too long our brothers and sisters of color have been experiencing racism within this country and racism from the people who are supposed to be protecting and serving us. It is time we all stand up and make our country a safe space for all and safe for the generations to come. We don’t pay police our money to kill us off, we pay them to protect and serve.
On June 22nd Monday, we’ll all meet @1pm on the bike path underneath the N Antelope Valley Pkwy bridge near the end of holdrege and end the skate at antelope park. If you wish to be apart of this event but don’t skate, bikes, longboards, scooters, skates, etc. All are welcomed regardless of your preference. This is strictly a PEACEFUL PROTEST. If you feel any hatred or anger in your heart, please make sure to not direct that in ways that can get yourself hurt or others as well. Crying, screaming, yelling, etc. whatever you need to do in order to vent is more than welcomed but absolutely NO VIOLENCE in order to make sure everyone is safe and can have a good time.
If you feel as if you’ll arrive late, you can find us along the trail or meet up at antelope park. All are welcomed and we would love to see as many people as possible make it out! (permit to sk8? Nahhhhh we never needed permission to shred) We do not have protest permits so we ask that everyone be as safe and responsible as possible. We’re all family, if you see anyone hurt make sure you help them out. Please make sure you stay hydrated. We will do our best to provide water for everyone who shows up. If anyone knows of anyone willing to sponsor the event and set booths up along the trail, please let us know we will be reaching out as well. We hope to see you all there and hope to continue to see people fighting for what they believe in. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us! #skate4blacklives #blacklivesmatter🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
